Wow. What else can I say besides “wow”? The game looks absolutely friggin’ amazing, the storyline is well thought-out, and the controls feel right at home. I’ve been playing Gears of War now for about 5 or 6 hours straight, now. Lord only knows what it’s doing to my eyesight … ‘like I care. =P I actually lost track of time playing it! I haven’t had something do that to me in quite some time.
I’m currently approaching the end of Act III with 9 out of the 49 achievements unlocked.
I’ve been so exhilarated by the game that I, yet again, hadn’t even kept track of the achievements until I got off the console to play this.
Ah, man -- I think I feel an ulcer comin’ on … a Gears of War ulcer … and I’m happy to say I don’t regret it.
Look forward to my entire review once I finish the game (probably by the end of tomorrow / the weekend) … trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
